Turkish parl. speaker to visit Iran

TEHRAN, Dec. 03 (MNA) – Turkish Parliament Speaker Binali Yıldırım is set to visit Tehran on Dec. 7-8 to attend a conference on parliamentary cooperation for peace, connectivity and prosperity in the region.

The visit will be the last leg of his multi-country tour, which started late Sunday as the Turkish official left for China with the aim of “strengthening Turkey’s multidimensional relations with China in the dimension of parliamentary diplomacy.”

Later, he will meet with Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Dastanbek Cumabekov in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek.

Lastly, he will visit Iran on Dec. 7-8 to take part in the second edition of Speakers Conference on “Development of Regional Cooperation in Combating Terrorism and Development of Regional Cooperation”.

The event will also be attended by parliament speakers from Iran, Afghanistan, China, Pakistan and Russia along with their respective parliamentary delegations.
